1-Betta Fish
Betta fish belongs to a large genus of "freshwater ray-finned fishes". The fishes of this breed are usually colorful and small and the actual name of this breed is "B. splendens" or the Siamese fighting fish. Betta species are usually of different sizes ranging from 2.5 cm to 12.5 and they can breathe with "labyrinth" which is a unique organ. Betta fishes do not have a great choice of food but Wild Betta fish can eat almost everything like worms, larva and other insects.
2-Gold Fish
The Goldfish belongs to "family Cyprinidae" of order "Cypriniformes". This freshwater fish is considered the earliest fish which is kept in aquarium fish. The Goldfish was first time domesticated in China and now it is considered the most commonly domesticated fish. Goldfish breeds are of different sizes, colors and body shapes and in every color they look stunning. Goldfish is usually over feeder and eat everything like insects, larva and small plants.
3-Achilles Tang Fish
Achilles Tang, usually known as Achilles Surgeonfish, is a beautiful fish native to the Pacific Ocean. They are of medium size ranging from 10cm to 25cm and even at their adulthood their maximum size is limited to 25cm. Achilles Tangs are black but their fins and tails have a bright white and orange lining and they mostly eat benthic algae and meaty foods. It is difficult to keep them in aquarium only an experienced aquarist is able to keep them carefully.
4-Fantail Gold Fish
Fantail goldfish is an attractive and hardy fish and it is originally found in China and Japan. It has an egg-shaped body, high back without any shoulder hump and a very long caudal fin. Fantail goldfish has telescope eyes and this type of eyes do not develop before their adulthood. It is not easy to keep them in captive because it is very sensitive and can not bear the low water temperatures and requires an ideal temperature in an aquarium.
5-Angel Fish
Angelfish belong to "Cichlid family" and they are freshwater members of this family. Their origin is tropical South America and usually found in Orinoco Basin, Amazon Basin and in a great number of rivers of Guiana Shield. They have attractive shapes, colors and a great number of varieties. Angelfish are commonly considered the most suitable fish to be domesticated and no doubt, they enhance the charm of aquarium with their enchanting beauty.
6-Common Gold Fish
The Common goldfish is commonly known as "feeder fish" has a close resemblance with goldfish. There are a great number of varieties according to their colors such as white,red, black, orange and yellow goldfish. Common goldfish prefer to live in groups and they have very loving nature that's why they are attached with their owners. They can live for many years if they are kept with proper care.
7-Molly Fish
Molly is a species of fish that belong to genus Poecillia and its binomial name is "Poeciliasphenops" but commonly known as short-finned molly. They usually found in the streams of fresh water and marine waters of Mexico and it is very easy to keep them in a small aquarium. Common Molly have a great number of varieties according to their colors and body shapes. They are very attractive and loveable fishes.
8-Glow light Tetra
Glow light tetra is a tropical fish of very small size and its binomial name is "Hemigrammuserythrozonus". They are originally found in South America, Guyana and Essequibo River. Glow light tetra is usually of silver color and also has a red to orange long stripe which extends from the tip to end of its body that's why its appearance is very peaceful. Glow light tetra eats other small live insects and dry and frozen foods.
9-Neon Tetra
The Neon tetra is a fish of freshwater and belongs to characin family and its binomial name is "Paracheirodoninnesi". This species usually are originally found in Brazil, Eastern Peru and blackwater streams in Colombia and because of its beautiful bright colors it can be easily visible even in darkwater streams. The Neon tetra's back is light-blue and has a silver white abdomen and they can be kept easily in a community aquarium.
10-Sucker Mouth Cat Fish
The Sucker mouth catfish is a tropical fish which belongs to armored catfish family and its binomial name is "Hypostomusplecostomus". They are originally found in Trinidad, the Guianasand northeastern Brazil. The sucker mouth catfish can develop to a maximum size of 20 inches and they can completely clear algae from the aquarium and that's why they are purchased by aquarist. They have rows of scutes like armor that cover their whole bodies.
