Ubuntu consists of free software and its name is derived from "ubuntu" which is a philosophy of South Africa. ubuntu was developed by UK-based "Canonical Ltd" whose owner is a South African businessman Mark Shuttleworth. Windows XP was developed by "Microsoft Corporation" which is a famous multinational technology company of America and its successor is Windows Vista. It was released on 25 October 2001 for general availability. Windows XP has a poor security system that's why it is more suitable for hackers and developers than common users.

Linux Mint was released on 27 August 2006 and it is available in a great number of languages. 8-Macintosh OSX
Macintosh OSX comes on the number eight in the list of the best computer operating systems of 2015. It is commonly known as Mac OSX and it is based on the series of graphical interface operating systems which are Unix-based. Macintosh OSX was developed by "Apple Inc" which is a multinational technology company of America and it was released on 24 March 2001. It is considered the easiest and best operating system for a beginner and it also has very similarities with Linux and the only drawback of it is that it has a very small range for games.
9-Google Chrome OS
Google Chrome OS comes on number nine in the list of the best operating systems of 2015. It belongs to the "Chromium OS" family of operating systems and it is written in only two languages C and C++. Google Chrome OS is designed and marketed by "Google" which is a multinational technology company of America and its latest version is released on 10 November 2015, just 20 days ago. This web thin client OS has only a few native applications but now developers are trying to create some packaged applications.
10-Fedora
Fedora, formerly known as Fedora Core comes on the number ten in the list of the best operating systems of 2015. It belongs to the Unix-like family of operating systems and it is now available in a great number of languages. Fedora was developed by "Fedora Project" and it was funded by Red Hat which is a multinational software company of America. This operating system basically consists of Linux Kernel that's why Linus Torvalds uses it on all his computers. Fedora's latest version is released on 23 November 2015, just 26 days ago.
