So an adult elephant eats 160 to 170 kg plants and other herbs daily. The favorite vegetable of an Asian elephant is Palm Frond. Elephants continuously eat 16 to 18 hour daily. The elephant food contains grasses, small plants, bushes, fruits, tree bark etc.

9- Elephants Feed their children

Elephant female feed her child for 4 years. Elephants are mammals and mother feeds her milk to her new born baby. A baby elephant is totally dependent on mother’s milk for first 1 year then it starts eating herbs. All female elephants took care of a baby child, elephants live in a family. When mother eats then other female elephant takes care of child and in this way they support to each other.

10- Sleeping

Elements sleep very few hours in a day. Their daily sleeping hours are in between 5 to 7. Mostly elephant sleeps in standing position but if it has very much tired then it lays down on the ground. Elephant mostly moves in between of 80 to 90 km of geographical area and they don’t like the involvement of other mammals in their area.
