It is a baseless misconception that all these great pyramids were built by prisoners and slaves, these majestic structures were built by paid workers. The interesting fact about these workers is that they were known to organize labor strikes, although they regarded pharaoh as their god but they were not afraid to protest for getting better working conditions.
10-Egyptians Kept Many Animals as Pets
It is true that ancient Egyptians basically had a great number of strange spiritual perceptions about everything, even they regarded animals as incarnations of the gods. They are no doubt first civilization who kept many animals as pets, Egyptians had a great love and respect for cats and associated them with their goddess Bastet. Many animals had a special place in the homes of ancient Egyptians, they are even buried and mummified with their owners.
