Although there are a great number of causes of the painful disease of gout but the most important and the common cause of this disease is genetics. According to experts, the occurrence of gout is to some extent genetic, the recent research shows that three genes are basically associated with this painful disease gout, any kind of variation in these genes can double the risk to a great extent.
2-Weight
Another cause of this irritating and painful disease is to be overweight. Being overweight basically increases the chances of gout because there is more production of the uric acid in the form of a metabolic waste product, due to the extra turnover of body tissues. Moreover, if your body fat is on the higher level then it also increases the systemic inflammation levels.
3-Consumption of Too Much Alcohol
On the number three, another very important and common cause of gout is the Consumption of Too Much Alcohol. There are a great number of side-effects of the consumption of Alcohol, those who are habitual of drinking too much Alcohol can not remain healthy and fit. The consumption of Alcohol is basically associated with the increased risk of gout to a great extent, so we should try to avoid it.
4-Consumption of Too Much Meat And Seafood
The fourth most important and major cause of gout is the consumption of too much seafood and meat. The excessive use of anything always proves harmful for our health, although the use of meat and seafood are very beneficial for our health but the excessive use of those foods that contain a high level of purines, are strongly associated with the increased risk of gout.
5-Medical Conditions
Certain medical conditions are also included in the list of the major causes of gout. Gout usually occurs along with other serious medical conditions, it occurs basically in combination with abdominal obesity, insulin resistance, hypertension, abnormal lipid levels. Mostly the kidney problems increase the risk of gout to a great extent because kidney problems usually reduce the ability of the body to remove waste products efficiently.
6-Medication
Although there are a great number of reasons of gout but the most common and important cause of gout is the consumption of certain medications. There are some medications that can increase the levels of the uric acid in your body to a great extent. Diuretics, niacin, aspirin, the tacrolimus and the immunosuppressive drugs cyclosporin are strongly associated with gout and can increase the risk of gout.
7-Sugary Drinks
Another cause of this irritating and painful disease is to use too many sugary drinks. These sweet sodas or Fructose beverages basically contain a great amount of fructose, which is really very harmful for us. The use of these fructose-sweetened drinks not only causes diabetes but it is also strongly associated with the increased risk of gout, so it is better to avoid these drinks.
8-Dehydration
On the number eight, another very important and common cause of gout is the dehydration. If you will not get enough fluids, then your body is dehydrated, and this dehydration basically increases the amount of the uric acid, but also decreases the ability of your kidney to get rid of this extra amount of uric acid. So, this lack of water in your body increases the risk of gout to a great extent.
9-Chronic Lead Exposure
The ninth most important and major cause of gout is the "Chronic Lead Exposure". The recent research shows that the gout patients with the renal failure have basically greater amounts of the mobilizable lead. At least one of the seven patients are found occupational exposure to lead. This Chronic Lead Exposure is a risk factor for gout because of the harmful effects of lead on the kidney function.
10-Starvation or Very-Low-Energy Diets
In the last, I am going to tell you another very important and common cause of gout and that is Starvation or very-low-energy diets. If you will starve yourself or keep yourself hungry for long hours or take only those diets which are very low in energy, then basically you are increasing the risk of gout for yourself. Because the Starvation or very-low-energy diets increase the blood urate levels and cause gout.
